I have always been into fitness, health, sports, and just very active. But I was looking for a bigger goal than just breaking a sweat at the gym. A friend of mine gave me the idea and I read in many fitness magazines those women competitors that always said “if you’re thinking about it – just go ahead and do it!!”. Of course, it helps that they looked gorgeous, strong, accomplished, and very confident!
First contest ever was the NPC Jay Culter 2015. I was pretty much the only first timer so imagine my surprise when I took 5th place!! Awesome feeling!
Lost 10 pounds and 10% in body fat. But the thing I am most proud of is all the knowledge about nutrition/training and the experience of getting to know my body. I see how my body can transform and that I will take away with me forever.
Setting a bigger goal, working towards it, challenging my body and mind, and getting there with a great feeling of accomplishment, growth, and satisfaction!
First, the obvious of feeling better, healthy, being sharp, looking young, etc. But I love how maintaining a healthy lifestyle makes me feel psychologically: strong, daring, fearless…
She is very encouraging while being very direct with her comments… so when she pays you a compliment you believe her. Also, she is very responsive and very knowledgeable / experienced.
The fact that it is remote is the most challenging. Although Julie is so responsive ! I feel if we worked together live I would have gotten even more out of it.
