Bethany Sarosy Stebbins

    Personal Information

    I am a 34 year old registered nurse and medical technologist living with my cop husband, Corey, and our furry feline children in Fairfield, Ohio.  I am a “multi-dimensional” health care professional!  My main position is working as a PICC Nurse-I insert PICC lines and IV’s in patients with poor venous access. I also work PRN in my hospital’s lab as a medical technologist-performing laboratory tests/crossmatching blood for transfusions. Lastly, due to my love of forensic science, I work part-time at the coroner’s office as a weekend investigator/clerk. My goal is to someday work as a death investigator or a pathologist assistant. I have even thought about going back to school to get a Master’s Degree in Forensic Science.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    For years, I had lived off of Lean Cuisines and take out. I would say that 80% of my diet was processed carbs. I did not realize how changing the macro nutrient ratio of my diet makes a huge difference. In the past 3 months I have lost 8% body fat, and gained 10 lbs of muscle. I am currently a work in progress!!!

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    In the past 3 months, I have lost 8% body fat. My husband and I have experimented with making clean eat versions of out favorite foods. Changing the way I think about food. Food has always been a big part of my life. My family always cooked huge meals and food was always a sense of comfort for me. Now I am changing my perspective to eating for fuel, for a strong healthy body,  not comfort.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    My husband and I have bonded over working out together and learning to cook and eat clean versions of our favorite foods. The sense of accomplishment when finishing a workout and reaching new goals.

    What are your fitness goals?

    Run a 5K race, lose another 8-10% body fat, someday be able to bench press my own body weight on barbell, possibly compete in Master’s bikini.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Family history of obesity, diabetes, heart disease. Making myself a better person physically, emotionally, spiritually.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    She is a sweet genuine person and is always uplifiting and positive!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    Can’t think of anything!
