Bohdana Ramos

    Personal Information

    I am a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and a certified personal trainer. I have always been involved in sports, mainly gymnastics and I also competed in skiing for several years. I moved to the US in 1993, joined the US Air Force in 1998 and served for 5 years. For the past 15 years, I have maintained love and passion for fitness, but only recently decided to compete in Figure in an effort to face my own fears and reach my full potential. I’ve always admired the beautifully sculpted physiques of the girls in fitness magazines and wondered if I could ever look like them. Once I finally committed to a show, there was no going back. I loved the journey and it was the best thing I have ever done!
    My personal motto is: “Quitting is always an option; it’s just never my option”.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    Placing 1st in Figure Novice division and 3rd in Masters over 30 in my very first competition at the 2009 NPC All Forces National Bodybuilding, Fitness & Figure Championships, held in Tampa, Fl. on October 10…yippi!

    What things have most helped you make that transformation?

    In 16 weeks, I went from 20% bodyfat to 11% coming in to my competition. At 35, I look and feel better than I did in my twenties. Hard work, discipline, and preparation were the main ingredients that helped me to step out on that stage feeling like a true champion…winning 2 trophies was just an icing on the cake…sugar free of course, lol. Also, I wouldn’t be able to succeed without the help of the Beverly International supplements. I love the vanilla Ultimate Muscle Protein…it’s delicious!

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    Fitness brings happiness, excitement, challenge and focus into my life. I also love looking and feeling fabulous!

    What are your fitness goals?

    Short term goal- to continue competing in figure and striving to look better each time I step out on a stage. Long term- I would love to run my own Family Fitness Camp where both the parents and children would learn how fun, exciting and rewarding is to live a healthy lifestyle.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    Meeting incredible people through fitness, seeing awesome results, sharing my passion for health & fitness with others and being an inspiration to other women motivates me…it’s truly priceless!

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    I loved the fact I wasn’t just another client. I felt she genuinely cared about helping me to get into a best shape possible for my competition. Her personalized program made my training intense, focused and effective. As far as I’m concerned, she did all the hard work. I simply had to execute her plan.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    Not being able to THANK Julie in person for all the time and effort she put into my contest prep because hubby and I are currently stationed at Aviano AB Italy.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    The vanilla flavored Ultimate Muscle protein by Beverly International…soooo yummy! and Julie’s carb-up muffins
