Kalyn Friddle

    Personal Information

    I am a 25 year old group fitness instructor, certified personal trainer, gymnastics coach, and fitness enthusiast. I love anything that has to do with health and fitness and I never pass up an opportunity to try a new sport. Athletics have always been a part of my life even since I was little; growing up in a family that was very fitness oriented meant I was always involved in sports from dance, softball, track and field and the one sport that stole my heart gymnastics. I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years practicing from 4-5 hours a day with some days having an hour of track or softball practice mixed in. Always having some sporting practice right after school I quickly learned how to manage my time wisely so I could fit all my practices in while also managing to accomplish my school work. I wouldn’t trade any of those long practice days for the world because they helped instill a good work ethic, determination, and persistence to keep challenging myself, along with teaching me how to set reasonable goals. After my competitive gymnastics career ended I knew I wanted to stay in my athletic shape and set my sights on competing in a fitness competition. Little did I know signing up with Julie and competing would become a passion of mine along with showing others how to live a healthy lifestyle.

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    This past year has truly been amazing! I have learned so much more than I could have ever imagined about myself, fitness, and how quickly your body can change with just small tweaks to your diet and training. I was fortunate to start out with a good foundation of muscle and was not unhappy with my physique. Within the past year I am so much more confident and happy with my physique than I could have ever imagined due to the amount of muscle I have gained.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    I have enjoyed every aspect from the challenging workouts that caused me to be sore the next day (I know that means I pushed my limits), to every meal that helps fuel my body to get me through those workouts, from the nerves before stepping on stage to the high I get from being on stage knowing I have accomplished one more of my goals. I can’t forget all the amazing people I have met along the way that share the same passion for health and fitness. Yes, they maybe your competitors but they become so much more like family, they are my fit family!

    What are your fitness goals?

    My fitness goals have been constantly growing and evolving with every step of my journey. My goals are to have a successful career in the health and fitness industry, earn my pro card, see myself in the pages of Oxygen Magazine, and land a sponsorship with a fitness company while showing others how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    The way it makes me feel! I have so much more energy to put into my training and into my clients training. I also love that positive influence it has on others around me.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    I could not imagine going through this process without Julie.  Her constant support, motivation, and encouragement have pushed me farther than I could ever imagine. Not to mention her amazing energy when you get to check in with her I love walking into Lohre Studios and seeing Julie’s smiling face and getting a hug!

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    Absolutely nothing!

    Julie’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    I would encourage anyone who has ever thought of stepping on the competitive stage or simply just wanting to make a lifestyle change to go for it!
