Karen Iochum

    Profile

    I am 47 years old and a staff accountant for an engineering firm. I have always been involved in sports. At age 5, I was the New Jersey State Champion in speed skating. I participated in track and field in elementary school and attended the School of the Pennsylvania Ballet as a teenager.  I competed in bodybuilding in the mid 80’s.  After I turned 40, I was determined to get my bodybuilding body back. I got back on the stage again in 2007 for my first figure contest.

    It is very difficult as you get older to diet down and lean out for a figure competition while holding on to your muscles; let alone add more muscles to your frame.  With great nutrition and supplement advice, you can overcome these obstacles and reach your best potential at any age.

    I love being healthy, looking and feeling great and motivating others to make healthier choices.  My future goals are to keep on improving and competing in figure competitions.

    Julie Lohre transformed my off season body from over 22% body fat and a weight of 136 pounds by losing over 12 % body fat and adding muscle in the right places to a contest weight of 127 in a little over 3 months. At one measurement session within a 3 week interval, I had dropped 5 pounds of fat and gained 4 pounds of muscle.  WOW!

    My favorite diet food has to be Oatmeal Protein pancakes made with Vanilla UMP and cinnamon.

    The best part about working with Julie is knowing exactly what supplements, food, and exercises to do on a daily basis as it takes the guess work out so you can focus on your goals. Julie is so positive and her passion gives me energy to keep me focused while pushing myself to a higher level.

    Julie keeps your body motivated by mixing it up and she will truly kick your butt into shape. Believe me; you will be tired by the time bedtime rolls around.
