    I originally started this journey just to get into good enough shape to look half decent on the beach. Once I started seeing results and feeling better about myself it quickly became a habit that I knew wouldn’t die.

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments?

    I think my greatest accomplishment on this journey was participating in my very first bikini competition. It takes a lot to begin to workout but to take it a step further and build the confidence to step on stage with a tiny bikini on, in front of judges none the less, is a horse of another color! I made it through and took home 4th place in bikini open and I am so proud of myself.

    Transformation info - How much have you changed in what period of time. What things have most helped you make that transformation?

    I prepped for about 22-24 weeks which breaks down to about 5 months. I changed so much physically, mentally and emotionally. It takes a lot to handle the ups and downs you go through. Your body misses the bad foods and drinks initially and it definitely effects you in more ways than one. I believe what helped me the most is the flexible meal plan that Julie Lohre made for me with a huge substitution list that doesn’t leave you guessing.

    What do you enjoy the most about fitness?

    What I enjoy most about fitness is working hard to see the results you want for yourself. It’s all about setting personal goals and surpassing them.

    What are your fitness goals?

    My next goal is to take home a first place trophy! I am definitely going to continue to compete and my long term goal is to compete at the pro level.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    I can’t imagine myself ever gaining all the weight back or feeling bad about myself again. Loosing the confidence that I’ve worked so hard to build. That’s what keeps my motivated to maintain this lifestyle. Along with the great influence that I have been to my friends and family.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    My favorite thing about working with Julie was her willingness to be flexible with food choices and working around my busy schedule. Working in retail doesn’t allow many free hours especially when you train during the holiday seasons like I did. She was able to still provide me with a plan that worked and kept me on track.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    The worst thing was that she wasn’t as close as I would have wanted her to be but as often we corresponded over my time with her it felt like she was right there till the end!

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    My favorite “diet” food is a tough question. I actually enjoyed majority of the foods that I was able to eat. There wasn’t much that I really missed being on prep. Once the show was over I had a cheat meal and a lot of foods aren’t even good tasting anymore.

    Favorite Motivational Quote

    “You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.”
