Laura Perez

    Laura Perez, a 32 year old teacher out of Miami, did not allow a language barrier to stand between her and her dreams!  Laura first came to me through email asking about my Online Contest Prep Program with the goal of competing in a bikini show.  Even though she speaks Spanish and I speak English, we made it happen.   As my first client to exclusively speak another language,  we relied on translating programs to interpret.  With an incredible amount of hard work, Laura made her Bikini competition dreams come true.  She totally transformed her body and in 4 months, competed in her first Bikini Competition taking 3rd place!  She is now training in her off season gaining the muscle she needs while staying lean and getting ready for fall shows.  Congratulations Laura!!!

    What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

    My greatest fitness accomplishment so far has been to win 3rd place at my first NPC Bikini Show.

    WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

    In five months, I have changed my body significantly. I have gained more muscles, my arms and back are much stronger and I have improved the shape of my legs, glutes and abs. Also, my skin hair and nails have improved.  But, the way is difficult.  I think the thing that helped me the most has been to follow my training and nutrition plan. But to follow my training and diet I needed help and motivation. My husband was a big help because we train together.

    What do you enjoy most about fitness?

    What I like most about fitness is the lifestyle you acquire.  A lifestyle with which you feel good, healthy and energetic.  I learned to eat better, train harder and give more importance to rest. But, if I have to choose only one thing, I think, what I enjoy most is work out.

    What are your fitness goals?

    My short- term goals are to improve my shoulders and back and gain muscle on my legs, glutes and abs. My long-term goal is win a NPC competition in my category.

    What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

    I love to feel good, see the results of your hard work and dedication, learn to lead a healthy diet, gradually achieve goals motivate me. It´s very important that someone support you.  In my case, my husband is the best supporter for me. He help to respect my diet because he eat what I eat. He trains with me and so it´s more fun.

    The other thing is your self-motivation, I motivate myself by watching competition videos, photos of other competitors, etc.  Another thing that motivates me finding an inspiration in the field.  In my case, Andreia Braizer is my fitness woman inspiration because she won her first WBFF competition when she was my age. I started late (I´m 32 years old) but if she can I can.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    She makes very good training programs for me, they are hard but fun at the same time so I never feel unmotivated to train. I have too few equipment in my gym, and she is able to design great work outs with the equipment I have.

    Whenever contacted her to ask questions she answered me very fast, even on Saturdays and Sundays. That is very professional!  Above all, I am a person that wants everything now and I am very impatient.  Julie conveys messages in a calm and supportive manner.  This helps me to not lose motivation and know that the results will come sooner or later. She is very positive person.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    I would like to train with she in person but we live ver far.

    Favorite 'diet' food:

    My breakfast oatmeal pancakes with papaya and strawberries.

    Any other comments or anything else you would like to share

    I am very happy of my progress and I encourage all women who want to make a change to choose a fitness lifestyle.  You don´t need to compete, or have physical goals (lose weight, gain muscle mass) to have a healthy life.  Improving your health, feeling good and being fit are other goals that can be achieved by following a proper diet and training regularly.  Healthy mind, healthy body!
