Steady progress over time has been key for FITBODY Nicole Szynski’s long term success!
Through hard work and determination, Nicole lost 23 lbs and 15 inches in 6 months with Julie’s Online Personal Training Program!
I am a 25 year old nurse and clinic manager. Two years ago, I reached the heaviest weight I had ever been and slowly eased into fitness by attending some Zumba classes at a local studio and lifting weights a few nights a week. Although I enjoyed seeing my strength go up week by week, I wasn’t seeing much change on the scale or in my measurements. I knew that I really needed to incorporate the dietary component into my training but did not know where to start and that is where I enlisted Julie’s help.
What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?
I never ever thought of myself as a morning person. However, since I am so busy during the day for work, I started hitting the gym consistently at 5:30 am just so that I could be sure to get my workout in before my day got away from me. A bonus perk is that the gym is so peaceful and empty at that time! Now I am that chipper morning person by the time I get to the office because I have had time to wake up and energize myself.
Transformation info – How much have you changed in what period of time?
With Julie, I lost 23 pounds and a total of 15” in 6 months. What helped me the most was meal prepping- I designated Sundays for cooking up most of my food for the week, weighing it all out and packaging it so that during the week all I had to do was grab and go. Since there are a lot of times I am out of the office and driving between meetings, I bought a large cooler to store all my food and keep it fresh throughout the day no matter where I was.
What do you enjoy most about fitness?
I enjoy watching myself accomplish things that I would have never thought were possible when I was first starting out. Whether it is running a faster 5K time, increasing the weight on the bench press or finally doing unassisted pull-ups, it is truly amazing and empowering to see what the body is capable of achieving.
What are your fitness goals?
I want to continue to shed weight and ultimately compete in a bikini competition.
What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
Progress is addicting. Once I started seeing changes in my body and the way my clothes were fitting it was way easier to make good food choices and to consistently wake up in the morning to hit the gym.
What is the best part about working with Julie?
Julie is nothing but encouraging. She doesn’t make you feel guilty if you didn’t make the progress you had hoped or if you fell off the wagon with your diet. She just motivates you to get back on track and continue on.
What is the worst part about working with Julie?
I would say the distance is the toughest part about working with Julie. Although Julie is pretty accessible online, you still have to be very accountable and self-motivating with your workouts and nutrition.
