I am 38 years old, a mother of 2 beautiful daughters, and a full time Court Administrator. I enjoy weight training, outdoor running and activities, watching my husband drag race, and having picnics with my girls.
My last figure competition prior to this year was the Northern Kentucky where I placed 5th in my height class. I won my class and overall at the NPC Tricky Jackson Show.
After being unable to train for 3 years due to pregnancy complications I needed a challenge/goal to motivate me into getting back in shape. That’s when I decided to compete in the Northern Kentucky again and began training with Julie. Although I didn’t place top 5 in my class, I am extremely pleased with my end result for being back in the gym for only 10 months. I’m in better condition and more comfortable in my own skin now than I was pre-pregnancy.
There are so many aspects about fitness that I love, from the challenge of a good weight workout or cardio session, to having some time to focus on me. I hear so many women say they would feel guilty for taking the time to workout. For me, I feel it makes me both a better mom and wife. We all deserve time to take care of ourselves.
I plan to compete at the Derby Festival, and then continue working with Julie to add more muscle, but am unsure beyond that as far as competing goes. Wherever this journey takes me, I am committed to staying fit and healthy.
So many things motivate me to maintain a healthy lifestyle from my friends to my husband and daugthers. I have the responsibility and privilege of teaching my two daughters how to eat healthy, stay active and be productive.
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Julie, and excited to continue my fitness journey with her. I love how she was always available and eager to assist me. She took my concerns and challenges and made them her own to help me through them. Truly above and beyond what I expected.
My whole experience training with Julie was a positive one. Looking forward to the next time.
2 scoops chocolate UMP protein, 1/2 cups oats, 3 egg whites = dessert every morning for breakfast.
I love the flexibility of my meal plans. Being able to trade a meal with foods from the master food list was great. If I didn’t want eggs and oats for breakfast, I could have my protein pancakes provided I stayed within my daily caloric intake alotted.
Oh, and I have to mention the Fitbody Team. What an amazing bunch of women. Love you guys. Thank you Julie for bringing us all together.
