TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOU BETHANY AND HOW YOUR 5 MONTH BODY TRANSFORMATION BEGAN!
I am an elementary school counselor and have been for over 7 years. I am married and my husband is an active duty IDC or Navy Corpsman. We met when I was living in Wilmington. I love being active. I was a cheerleader both at school and competitively most of my young life. I started running in 2010 and that is where my fitness journey began. In 2013, I joined my first crossfit gym in Charlotte and fell in love. Not only did I discover a passion, I was also naturally good at weightlifting; assuming from my gymnastics and cheerleading background. I became a Crossfit coach in 2017 and a NASM Fitness Trainer.
However, 4 months before my wedding in September 2019, my mother passed away unexpectedly. After the wedding we moved across the country and the COVID pandemic started. A little over a year after that, my youngest sister and sibling I was closest to passed away unexpectedly in a car crash on our street. My only grandfather died 2 months after her.
Due to all the rapid changes and loss in my life, I really got off track with my goals and being active. I needed some help getting back on track and some accountability. Not to mention I had done crossfit for 10 years and my body was worn out. I wanted to transition to a bodybuilding/fitness model type of workouts that were manintable and not as hard on the body.
Enter Julie Lohre & Fitbody Training that started me on this 5 month body transformation! I work 45 minutes from home and I have to leave for work, at the latest, at 6:30am. I am definitely a morning person; after work, I am too tired to workout. Therefore, I have to workout really early in the morning. I had to adjust my sleep schedule to accommodate that. So I start getting ready for bed by 7pm and try to be asleep no later than 9pm at the latest. So getting up really early was and is challenging but I just get moving before my brain has a chance to start making excuses. Something I’ve learned over time is that you have to workout even when you don’t feel like it or when you’re tired and even when you don’t feel good. If you only workout days you “feel good”, that eliminates a lot of days out of the year.

WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
My greatest fitness accomplishments were all related to crossfit. My 1 rep max for my squat was 260lbs, my 1 rep max for deadlift was 300, and my clean was 160, I could and can still do handstand walks and handstand pushups.

WHEN YOU FIRST CONSIDERED ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING WHAT CONCERNS DID YOU HAVE?
Having the knowledge and background that I have, I was very aware of my body and how to do movements correctly. Therefore, I just needed someone to do my programming and diet. Diet is always the biggest hurdle. I once heard a coach say, “If you aren’t tracking what you’re eating, you’re wasting your time with fitness.”
Also, after COVID, my husband and I purchased a lot of our own equipment so we could workout at home, but doing my own programming, I wasn’t being consistent or pushing myself as hard as you need to. I didn’t have a lot of concerns because I like to challenge myself and I didn’t want to disappoint or waste my money lol. So all of that drove me to stick to my goals now that I had a program and someone keeping me accountable.
TELL US THE SPECIFICS OF YOUR FITBODY TRANSFORMATION
In our 5 months of virtual personal training together I have:
– Lost 13 pounds
– Trimmed my waist by 3.5 inches
– Tightened my chest and hips by 3 inches
– Almost tripled your pushup strength from 8 to 22 strict pushups!!!

HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW THAT YOU HAVE MADE YOUR 5 MONTH BODY TRANSFORMATION? HOW HAS YOUR OUTLOOK ABOUT YOUR BODY AND YOUR LIFE CHANGED?

WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DID YOU USE DURING THE 5 MONTH TRANSFORMATION PROCESS?
In addition to an all natural pre-workout of my own choosing. Currently, I only use fittabs, glutamine, and my preworkout.
WHAT IS THE BEST AND WORST PART ABOUT WORKING WITH JULIE LOHRE?
The Fit Tests were annoying to me sometimes only because I had to sacrifice one of my workouts to do them before work and I didn’t feel like I worked out enough lol. In the past, my goals were always to get stronger. Now it’s to be fit and healthy. So I wasn’t as concerned about getting stronger as I was concerned about my measurements. I liked the convenience of an online coach and being able to workout at home; it cut down on some of the time I needed to work out (i.e. driving to a gym, packing a gym bag, etc.). I like to be as efficient as possible lol.

Julie Lohre was very flexible and adapted my programming to fit my needs and changes in my life. If I need a trainer again, I will definitely be reaching out. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, so I know after pregnancy I’ll need some help once again!

Can you transform your body in 5 months?
Absolutely! While true transformations take time and a whole lot of consistency, 5 months is a good amount of time for most women to see results with virtual personal training. Paying close attention to nutrition, logging your food, exercising 5-6 times per week for 45-60 mins, and walking each day will aid in your transformation journey.
Can you see workout results in 5 months?
Women that begin strength training consistently several times per week can see workout results in as early as 5 months. Changes in strength as measured by push up and long jump tests can be markedly improved. After five months, you’ll start to notice endurance im[provements as well in your 1 mile run or 3 mile bike. But more than anything, with constant exercise, women will notice that their body becomes tighter and more firm with better definition. 5 month body transformation are not easy, but the results can be lasting if you put in the work!
