TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOU SARAH!
I am a wife, mother, and I work from home. My husband, Adam, owns and operates multiple companies, one being a corn and soybean production business. We have 4 boys, Monte 6, Maverick 4, Mercer 3, Mackler 1. We have the privilege to live out in the country on a farm in Nebraska! Plenty of space for the boys to run! My husband competes in ultramarathon races, specifically the 100 mile distance. As a family adventure, we travel all over the country aiding and supporting Adam in his races.
" I needed an option to train from home, which led me to training with Julie. It was absolutely the best decision I could have made!"
WHAT THINGS HAPPENED THAT LED YOU TO WORKING WITH JULIE LOHRE?
I competed once in 2015, and it turned out I was 13 weeks pregnant on stage with our first son. These last 7 years, either being pregnant or breastfeeding, I always envisioned competing again. With the opportunity to be at home with our boys and work from home, I also needed an option to train from home, which led me to training with Julie. Which was absolutely the best decision I could have made!
WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
Through Julie’s motivation, hard work, and dedication, I competed again in the bikini NANBF and the NPC federations. Both were fantastic experiences, thanks to Julie! She was there for me every step of the way! I placed 5th twice in the NANBF show in May, and placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the NPC show in June. I was absolutely thrilled to be on stage, and ecstatic to have placed. I have also run in a handful of marathons, the most memorable was my first marathon in May 2013 when Adam proposed to me at the finish line!
HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT JULIE LOHRE’S ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAM
Researched online. Came across Julie. I felt like she was the most personable and knew I’d be working directly with her.
WHAT UNIQUE CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED IN YOUR FITBODY JOURNEY?
I made a conscious effort to continue to run and lift mostly everyday throughout each pregnancy. I think of that often now training with Julie, as I am so thankful I made that commitment, as I do believe that set me up for success to be in better shape than I have ever been now.
WHEN YOU FIRST CONSIDERED ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING WHAT CONCERNS DID YOU HAVE?
I was not entirely sure how it would work, and if it was truly possible to get ‘stage ready’ all from home. I was not doubting Julie’s Bikini Fitness Model program, just the thought of doing the work with what I had at home and never stepping foot in a gym. Testimonials on Julie’s site, and visiting with her on the phone convinced me to give it a try. I had just stopped breastfeeding our youngest son, and wanted to do something for myself, and after hearing Julie’s positive energy over the phone, I was all in!
TELL US THE SPECIFICS OF YOUR FITBODY TRANSFORMATION
I started off with a 10 minute mile, and just ran a 6:40 mile! I was so excited I emailed Julie that morning after completion! Also, an additional noticeable fitness improvement was that initially I was not able to do a butterfly situp, and now I can freely do 25! I remember when I first tried watching Julie’s video in her exercise library multiple times that morning, and thinking surely I was doing something wrong. No, I just didn’t have the core strength yet – I was so bummed! Now, I sometimes just do them sitting on the floor with the boys, just to have the satisfaction of being able to do them now!
My email to Julie the morning of May 28th…
“I ran a 6:40 mile this morning and it brings tears to my eyes! I just wanted to pass on the news and as I look forward to conquering a 6 minute mile next! I appreciate your inspiration and encouragement! A work from home mom of 4 boys under 6 years old, living on a farm in the middle of nowhere, working my tail off day in and day out to be healthier and stronger than I’ve ever been has paid off this morning with this feeling of accomplishment. Thank you! In the athlete area of the May show I did, everyone kept talking about everything they couldn’t wait to eat post show and how deprived they felt. I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your diet plan and never once have I felt deprived or wishing for anything. I’ve been so pleased with my training experience with you. Thank you so much!”
"I started off with a 10 minute mile, and just ran a 6:40 mile and it brings tears to my eyes!"
"I feel great, strong, and confident. I feel absolutely refreshed! "
"Learning and adapting to eat throughout the day and feeling how my body responded was an eye opening learning curve."
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST PART OF YOUR FITBODY THIS JOURNEY?
Eating calories/meals throughout the day, but through meal prep and planning ahead lead me to success.
HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW THAT YOU HAVE MADE AN INCREDIBLE FITBODY TRANSFORMATION? HOW HAS YOUR OUTLOOK ABOUT YOUR BODY AND YOUR LIFE CHANGED?
I feel great, strong, and confident. I feel absolutely refreshed! A good portion of the journey was nutrition, and learning how my body responded to the nutritional plan. We do not eat poorly at home, the difference was that typically I just ate between 4pm-8pm. With Adam’s race training and living in the country, we do not eat out much anyway (and it is not an option to have any food or groceries delivered to us) and cook most of our meals at home. The boys and I venture into town once or twice a week to the grocery store, so we plan ahead and make a conscious effort to make healthy choices. Learning and adapting to eat throughout the day and feeling how my body responded was an eye opening learning curve. As Julie has said many times, you just feel better when you eat proper nutrition. That is the refreshing part, just feeling pure, healthy, and strong.
WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DID YOU USE DURING THE PROCESS?
I used every Beverly International Supplement Julie recommended, Lean Out, 7 Keto Musclean, Fit Tabs, etc, I highly recommend them all. I believe that between the personal workout Julie created and the supplement GH Factor, those combined noticeably changed how my glutes looked. I was so driven and thankful for Julie and proud of every early morning workout after I was able to see that tighter glutes!
Our whole family loves the ump vanilla protein powder! The boys also really like the Oreo and angel food cake flavors! A nightly routine is to make ‘milk shakes’ with the UMP Protein Powder! We also enjoy the UMP Protein Bar! Every time I get one out there are 4 little boys surrounding me asking to have a bite!
WHAT IS THE BEST AND WORST PART ABOUT WORKING WITH JULIE LOHRE?
Best part is Julie’s kindness and willingness to be available to answer any and all questions workout or competition related. There was no email or question that ever went unanswered, and every correspondence was timely.

Through Julie’s motivation, hard work, and dedication, I competed again in the bikini division for the NANBF and the NPC federations. One piece that I believe sets Julie’s program apart from others (online or in person) is her nutrition plan. In both shows backstage a common question/topic is what will be eaten post show/food being craved. With Julie’s nutrition plan, I never felt deprived, starved, or wanted off the nutrition plan.
Favorite motivational verse quote…
"It is not always going to be easy, but it will be worth it." Typically, I get up around 3:30am, before all the boys get up to get all my workouts completed so they would not impact the family routine. However, there are days that does not happen, so when the 3 older boys are asking me questions and my youngest is spilling Cheerios under and around the barbell during my workout, while they are adorable, I often think “it is not always going to be easy, but it is worth it”!
