TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOU!
I’m a busy full-time working mom! I have been married to my amazing husband for almost 9 years, have two wonderful step sons both of whom are about to graduate college, and an adorable seven-year-old daughter who takes a piece of my heart everywhere she goes. I have been blessed for the past 11 years to work as a Registered Nurse. I’ve worked as an operating room Nurse as well as an infertility Nurse, and am currently a Care Manager for an insurance company.

WHAT THINGS HAPPENED THAT LED YOU TO WORKING TOWARD YOUR FITBODY TRANSFORMATION?
I was feeling rather stuck and frustrated with my fitness journey. I have been on a general weight loss/fitness journey since my daughter was born in 2016, and at the time I reached out, I was experiencing a plateau I just could not break through no matter what I did.
WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
I’ve never really been a serious or “elite” athlete by any means, rather someone who’s perpetually been interested in nutrition and fitness and have done my best to prioritize my health and wellness in general. I do find myself drawn to being a bit of a ‘weekend warrior’ and trying new, extremely challenging things that draw my attention.
I’ve completed both a Spartan Sprint and Spartan Beast in 2015, a 33-mile kayak charity event over two days in 2015, I took first place in a small Crossfit competition in 2015, completed a GoRuck Tough event (a 12 hour night-time military lead civilian team building challenge) in 2019, and most recently hiked the Grand Canyon from rim to rim in one day in 2022. I’ve currently got my eyes set on someday becoming a sprint triathlon finisher.
WHAT UNIQUE CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED IN YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY?
I have always struggled to maintain a healthy weight, ever since I was young. It’s never come easy to me, rather something I always have to be intentional and mindful about. It has certainly not gotten any easier having birthed a child and approaching my 40s.
I had made great progress in my postpartum weight loss journey, particularly in 2019, and had built some fantastic momentum. Unfortunately in 2020 when the pandemic hit, I was pulled from my infertility clinic dayshift nursing job and transferred to an all-COVID+ floor night shift 6-week assignment. The immediate change from day to night shift in a very uncertain, scary situation brought a lot of physical and emotional stress and I had a bit of a backslide in my fitness journey. I’ve been moving forward, though, and it’s never too late to find your groove again, which is exactly what my most recent session with Julie helped me do.
HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT JULIE LOHRE’S ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING?
A friend of mine worked online with Julie Lohre years back and I was so inspired by her progress and improvement in overall health I just had to get in on the action!
WHEN YOU FIRST CONSIDERED FITBODY ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING WHAT CONCERNS DID YOU HAVE?
I’m fairly tech-savvy and very open-minded and flexible, so the idea of online personal training was never anything I was concerned about. And this confidence was solidified through my friend’s amazing referral and then of course when I spoke with Julie on the phone. It was so easy to talk to her and it felt as though I was speaking with an old friend. She is very friendly, warm, and approachable, and made it clear she would be available to answer any questions I may come up with along the way.
I was somewhat concerned about performing workout moves I was unfamiliar with correctly, however, between Julie’s online resources and quick responses to emails I’d send with specific questions, I never found myself unable to perform anything she prescribed or find a reasonable substitute if warranted.
TELL US THE SPECIFICS OF YOUR FITBODY TRAINING RESULTS AND TRANSFORMATION
Throughout the 16 weeks Julie and I worked together, I made tremendous progress that I am incredibly proud of! I ended up with a total loss of 8.5 inches overall. Day one working with Julie I could do 5 push-ups. 16 weeks later I could do 23 regular push-ups! My resting heart rate has dropped a few beats per minute and my flexibility has increased. I did my program with Julie entirely with the equipment I have at home, and being able to increase the dumbbell’s weight load I can lift over time has been exciting.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST PART OF YOUR BUSY MOM HOMW WORKOUT TRANSFORMATION?
The hardest part about this 16-week journey was sustaining a serious ankle sprain injury just a couple of weeks in. Talk about frustrating! I let Julie know right away what happened, and she immediately altered my programs to accommodate my injury. We worked with what we had, I focused on what I could do, and were able to make the progress we did in our time together despite this major setback!
HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW WITH YOUR BUSY MOM HOME WORKOUT TRANSFORMATION? HOW HAS YOUR OUTLOOK ABOUT YOUR BODY AND YOUR LIFE CHANGED?
I feel great! My clothes are so much more comfortable, and I even had the confidence to purchase a super cute new summer wardrobe (that even includes shorts!) I now feel unstuck and like I know what I need to do every single day to nourish, fuel, hydrate, and care for my body (and my mind) to live my best life.
WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DID YOU USE DURING THE PROCESS?
I used all of the prescribed Beverly International supplements. I usually suffer from DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) when starting any new workout program but I was able to manage this by using the Glutamine Select Julie recommended. I drank one scoop with a glass of water before my workouts. The Fit Tabs were great to help make sure I was getting plenty of vitamins and minerals. I took these first thing in the morning. I also took the Lean Out and 7-Keto Muscle lean supplements and these for me personally seemed to really help with appetite control and energy. I took the lean out before meals, and the 7-Keto Musclelean in the morning and with lunch. I used the PBP plant-based protein powder as well several times a week, which was a great, easy way to meet my protein goals. (Try it blended with your favorite milk and poured over iced coffee! Yum!)

The best part about working with Julie was getting a personalized plan with clear instructions, realistic macro goals, and helpful suggestions on how to put together a meal plan with a variety of foods to choose from that when executed actually worked.
Upon completion of our 16 weeks together, I had a very clear picture of what I needed to do to see progress with my body, and took from our session things I can do for the rest of my life that will help sustain my results. I also know exactly where to find Julie if I were to ever find myself needing a refresher or help in the future.
