“It wasn’t about weight loss,” Jessica said. “I just wanted to feel strong again. And now I do.”

Can a busy mom of two become a First Time Fit Model Champion?

Jessica F, a 43-year-old elementary school principal from Accident, Maryland, never set out to compete. As a busy wife, mom of two young kids, and co-owner of a large working farm, her goal was simple: to regain her energy, take care of her health, and be a strong example for her children.

“I was out of energy and knew my body was changing with age. I didn’t want to play catch-up—I wanted to stay ahead of it,” Jessica shared. “My mom passed away from cancer after suffering a stroke, and I knew I had to take better care of myself—for me, and for my kids.”

What inspired Jessica to train for her first Fit Model competition?

“I didn’t start with the goal of competing. I just wanted accountability and support,” Jessica said. “But once I started gaining muscle, losing body fat, and seeing definition again, I got curious. What could I really do if I pushed myself?”

With time, that curiosity turned into a new challenge: training for her first-ever Masters Fit Model competition. Together, we decided to go for it—and she never looked back.

What were the results of Jessica’s first Fit Model competition?

Jessica competed in the NPC Warrior Classic in March 2025 and entered the brand-new Fit Model Division. Her results speak for themselves:

  • 1st Place – Masters Fit Model Over 40
  • 2nd Place – Open Fit Model
  • 2nd Place – True Novice Fit Model

“I kept the goal mostly to myself,” she said. “This wasn’t about anyone else. It was a personal journey to prove to myself what I could accomplish.”

What physical changes did this Masters Fit Model Over 40 achieve?

While Jessica didn’t lose much weight on the scale, the transformation was dramatic:

  • Lost 2 inches off her chest
  • Lost 1.5 inches off her waist
  • Lost over 1 inch off each thigh
  • Gained visible muscle and definition throughout her body

Her fitness performance improved significantly as well:

  • Went from 1 strict push-up to 10

  • Improved her long jump and flexibility

“It wasn’t about weight loss,” Jessica said. “I just wanted to feel strong again. And now I do.”

What made online training a good fit for this first-time Fit Model competitor?

With her packed schedule, Jessica needed a flexible yet effective plan that would fit her early-morning workouts and family responsibilities.

“I knew my workouts had to happen at home before the kids woke up. I liked my 4:30 a.m. quiet time,” she said. “What Julie offered matched my needs. It felt personal, not cookie-cutter.”

Jessica appreciated the structure, personalized attention, and frequent updates to her program. “Changing plans every four weeks kept me on my toes. It also showed me that Julie was really paying attention to what I needed.”

What were the biggest challenges on your Masters Fit Model journey?

“Probably letting go of doing everything perfectly,” she admitted. “My workouts weren’t always perfect, but I showed up. That consistency mattered more than perfection.”

She also learned to balance her love for chocolate with her need for nutrient-dense foods. “It’s about fueling your body without guilt. I made peace with that.”

How has Jessica’s mindset changed since becoming a Fit Model competitor?

Jessica describes a powerful shift in how she sees herself, her fitness, and her future.

“I feel great. I can accomplish anything I put my mind and energy toward. I take full responsibility for my health now,” she said. “This is my body, and I have choices every day—how I’ll fuel it and how I’ll move it.”

What advice does this First Time Fit Model Champion have for women over 40?

“Your body responds differently as you get older, and that’s okay. You just need the right plan, the right support, and a willingness to be consistent,” Jessica said.

She also emphasizes the importance of making health personal. “This journey started because I wanted to feel better. Competing was just a bonus. And now, I’ve proven to myself what I’m capable of.”

What was the best part of working with Julie Lohre?

“I loved that Julie focuses on women over 40,” Jessica said. “My body doesn’t respond like it did years ago, and knowing she has experienced those changes too made me feel understood and supported.”

She continued, “Julie is real. Her programs aren’t overwhelming—they’re doable, and they work.”
