My weight loss transformation story starts back in July of 2017. During that time, I was in a toxic relationship and having trouble following any fitness program and meal plan. I was struggling with leaving my boyfriend who wasn’t supportive of my health and fitness goals. From the stress of not being happy in my relationship and binge eating, I knew something had to change. I reached out to Julie Lohre that month in July of 2017. I was still with my boyfriend, but really wanted to get my health and fitness under control.
I will be totally honest by saying as soon as I talked to Julie, I knew I was in good hands and that she could help me make the weight loss transformation I wanted. I was even more impressed with the level of detail with the meal plan and workouts. Unfortunately, my mind was not ready. I didn’t have my head in the right place to do my programs and was more focused on the relationship I needed to leave. I never even completed a 2 week check in during this time.
It took me awhile, but I left my boyfriend in November of 2017. For several months after that, I went out every weekend with friends eating and drinking, none of which was healthy. In January of 2018, one of my friends told me it was time for me to come back to the gym and get my head straight. I knew that it was time, but wasn’t sure how “ready” I was to go back.
My weight was 184 and I was hiding behind clothes all the time. I didn’t even want people at my gym to see me, I was so ashamed of all the weight I put on. For several months after that, I was consistent with my workouts and food and lost weight. This weight loss transformation was a slow process, but I saw changes. My mind was in the right place again and I was enjoying working out, eating right, and being around people that supported me. My friend and trainer that I was working out with took a different job and was no longer going to be around for our weekly workouts. I was feeling so good about myself during this time that I wanted to keep getting better. I knew in order to keep getting better, I had to keep being accountable and following a structured program. I reached out to Julie again in March of 2019. I remember when I emailed her, I felt embarrassed because I couldn’t even make it 2 weeks the last time, I tried online training. The difference this time was I put myself first and my mind was focused on the right things. I was 100% dedicated to my programs and ready to keep moving forward. I can’t believe how I look now compared to 2 years ago. I haven’t missed a check in or work out!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO LOOK FOR AN ONLINE FITNESS COACH?
I needed structure and accountability.
WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS?
I have not competed or any other type of competition, but for me my biggest accomplishment is being able to do any workout right now because I feel so fit. I can go for a run if I want, take a spin class, etc. I don’t even think twice about doing things because my endurance is better than ever. I am not sure what my next fitness goal will be, but I know I am going to keep working hard and see where it takes me.

Through my friend and former trainer Shelby Whaley. Shelby had competed with Julie at a Fitness Competition at an NPC Pittsburgh show. She told me she heard wonderful things about your online training programs.
WHAT WERE YOUR ORIGINAL CONCERNS AS YOU STARTED TOWARD YOUR WEIGHT LOSS TRANSFORMATION?
My biggest concern is would it work?!! I wasn’t sure if having an online trainer would work if I didn’t see them in person. But, I decided to give this a try because I knew you were reputable in the industry and read the success stories. I cannot believe the success I have had, I am in the best shape of my life and this has all been online. I can’t imagine doing anything different than your online training.
TELL US THE SPECIFICS OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS TRANSFORMATION
Since starting this journey over in January of 2018, I have lost over 40 lbs. and tons of inches. The journey was not perfect, there were weeks the scale went up or didn’t move, but I had progress in my fit test and measurements. I was never a runner and it’s crazy to me that I can now run a mile in under 8 minutes.

- 7 inches on my waist!?!?!
- 6.5 inches on my hips
- 5 inches off each thigh
- From 10 pushups to 30!
- A decreased my mile time from 11:58 min to 7:49!
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST PART OF THIS JOURNEY?
In the beginning, social events and travel were the hardest for me. It was hard to go to dinners or events when I felt like I couldn’t eat anything. Now that I have made this kind of weight loss transformation, I prepare for these types of events and look at menus before I go out, build my macros around the event, and even have taken food in my purse. It is now my lifestyle, so I make it work. When I travel for work, I take food with me all the time and always find a gym.
HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW THAT YOU HAVE MADE AN INCREDIBLE WEIGHT LOSS TRANSFORMATION? HOW HAS YOUR OUTLOOK ABOUT YOUR BODY AND YOUR LIFE CHANGED?
I feel amazing. I am in the best shape I have ever been in and love the confidence I feel when I get dressed. Fitness is now my lifestyle. I make it work whether I am at home, traveling, or on vacation. I truly enjoy it and love how I feel when I am working out. It’s also crazy to me that when you fuel your body properly you don’t need to do extreme calorie depravation. I can’t believe how much I eat and still see results!
FAVORITE CLEAN EATING RECIPE?
Some of my other favorites are…. I take 4 oz ground turkey or lean ground beef and mix it with a ½ c brown rice and then top it with Trader Joe’s Salsa. I have it in my meal rotation almost every week. Another favorite is when I take 2 slices of Ezekiel bread and top it with ¼ c ragu pizza sauce, 4 oz grilled chicken, and ¼ c low fat mozzarella. It curbs my pizza craving!
WHAT IS THE BEST AND WORST PART ABOUT WORKING WITH JULIE LOHRE?
Everything! I absolutely love the structure of the training programs and meal plans. I love how we constantly switch up the training. I love looking forward to new programs and seeing how my body responds. I feel so supported and have 100% trust in everything you throw at me. I have never seen better workout programs. I think the only bad thing is we don’t get to see each other in person!

Surround yourself with people that support you. I have such an amazing support system with the people I choose to surround myself with at the gym, work, or home. Motivation does not happen every day but having people around you that support your goals help you on those days when you are struggling.
