Hyla Conrad

    Personal Information

    I am a WBFF Pro Diva Fitness Model, certified personal trainer with a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Louisville, and a High School Varsity Cheerleading coach.  I am a wife, lover of dogs (especially my border collie Max), and anything related to fitness.  I love to travel, camp, hjke, bike, and stay busy with online training programs and my Varsity cheerleaders. .  My childhood was filled with athletics, from gymnastics, to competitive cheerleading, high school cheerleading and track and field. I trained hard, everyday of the week. There was no offseason for me. 4 days a week of gymnastics, 2-3 days a week track or cheerleading. I was a year-round athlete.  Those athletic traits are in my blood; I train as athletically as I can. If I am not at home training in my garage, I am at the gym or at the track sprinting.  The feeling of sweat pouring off my body, the feeling of my muscles burning, complete exhaustion and hard word after a workout-I LIVE for that feeling every single day.  I trust and believe in hard work, and I know it pays off.  Words I live by: Speak confident words and they will come into existence.  Open your mind to new ideas and think confident positive words. Every morning, say these words out loud, “ Today I will work hard. Today I will do something that will change my life”. Those words will become the truth.

    Fitness Goals

    My goal is to inspire others to work as hard as they possibly can and get in the best shape of their life. Leading by example is the best way!

    Transformation Info

    I went from 120lb skinny HIIT cardio junkie to a 130lb athlete, gaining muscle and dropping bodyfat. Probably the biggest transformation I made over the course of 2 years was my ability to get back to the training that I loved as a child. I transformed my mind, my thoughts. I learned there are no limits to what the body is capable of, as long as you train hard for it, your body will adapt. Just because I am 30 years young, doesn’t mean I can’t be an athlete.

    What motivates me?

    Once you become a seasoned competitor, you go through ups and downs with training, so staying motivated is very important. I live and breathe fitness. Making the choice to train or not, it’s not a choice now, it’s my life, I can’t live without it. The opportunity is there every single day, and I take it because I know there are others who don’t have the same opportunities I have.

    What is the best part about working with Julie?

    Where do I start to explain the benefits? There are so many! First of all, she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She introduces you to Beverly International products, which are the best supplements on the market. The absolute BEST part about working with Julie is her knowledge and how she combines being an athlete and being a REAL PERSON! Sure the foods I eat are healthy, but she makes the training and foods work synergistically. It’s amazing how her training and nutrition plans turn your body into this well-oiled fitness machine! If you put in the work, she will deliver results.

    What is the worst part about working with Julie?

    I don’t get to see her as much as I would like!

    Peanut Butter Banana protein shake (using vanilla UMP of course)

    Patience is the key to success, and I have ALWAYS struggled with being patient. Training for figure competitions has really helped me understand that to be successful I must be patient with my body and understand there will always be something to improve.
