I am a 27 year old Critical Care Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I own an amazing American Bulldog named Lexi. I have always been physical fit and active all through childhood into adulthood. I grew up playing soccer and participating in gymnastics/cheerleading. I was your all around outgoing tomboy growing up. Being physically fit has helped me gain confidence in myself and grow into the person I am today.
I am just starting my journey into competing so the few shows I have done are The Ohio State Bikini and Great Lakes Body Building Show 2011 in Columbus, Ohio which I placed 6th. The second show I participated in was the NPC Northern Kentucky 2012 in which I placed 4th.
I was so excited to be the featured Bikini Athlete in the No Nonsense Magazine!!! Check it out!
I have made some huge life changing decisions and been through some tough times over the past year, but I was able to focus my energy on my fitness goals which helped me get through. I believe with the support of my family and friends and a positive attitude I can do anything.
I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment you get post workout. And knowing that I have done something to better myself and help become the best person I can.
I would love to continue competing in NPC Bikini class and potentially move on to National Shows. Continue to tone/tighten up and decrease my body fat %.
I get motivated everyday knowing the benefits I get from eating clean and working out. I have more energy overall and I feel better. (It also helps when you look in the mirror and see those results) I also take pride in being a role model or resource for those around me to lead a healthier lifestyle.
The laughs, smiles and encouraging words!!! I have had some much fun working with her. She has helped me become more confident in myself!!!!
Lack of carbs!!!! Enough said 🙂
My favorite meal is Cookies and Cream UMP & Strawberries!!!
Being fit and healthy is not a diet, it is a lifestyle!! It requires hard work day in day out and the motivation to continue even when you feel like stopping. If you haven’t already, find someone who gives you that “after workout” feeling, that high of “I can’t wait until my next workout.” My husband once said to me “it’s not about where you are going, it’s about how you get there.” Enjoy your workouts!!
